I just made your oil, and added in those two oils in small amounts. the peppermint oil I put in sightly larger amounts. how about using it during the day as styling oil? In your article on oil cleansing, you used hazelnut oil as a substitute for castor oil. Given what you said about castor oil being toxic for the workers who process it, I would like to avoid it if possible. Do you think hazelnut oil would be an effective substitute for castor oil in this recipe as well?

I bought the oils and started using the mix.
I found that rubbing in the oil into the scalp isn’t easy: it feels like the oil gets caught in the Nair and doesn’t go to the scalp. Also when I finish applying the oils, because of its texture, I end up with lots of hairs in my hands. I am concerned about the half on application. Maybe there’s a better way to get the oil to my scalp without losing so much hair?
